Quite a reasonable light and excellet value for money
LED dynamo lights are, quite properly, now coming down in price as this light shows - a perfectly reasonable light at a good price for its performance. It is rated at 60 lux, whereas the current standard for top end dynamo lights is 100 lux. But the top end lights are usually more than 100GBP, compared with the 31GBP for the AXA Nxt 60.Since it is so cheap, there are some compromises. It is all plastic construction, including the lens. This means that its optics are not great and it is a bit of a blunderbus. But it has the essential requirements for a general purpose dynamo light in that it scatters enough light generally forward to make other road users aware that you are there. It also has enough light going to the patch directly in front of you so that you can drive along totally dark country roads and have enough illumination to cycle by.Add to it the excellent AXA Blueline Stead Rear light, at 13GBP and that's a very economical and reasonable pair of dynamo lights, as bright as or brighter than any battery lights for the same outlay.
