Great weight for the bacon!
This is a very high quality tool. The weight is very good, and holds down bacon that likes to curl up. Which is horrible if you want a crunchy rind and fat that is rendered.This would be great on a bbq. It can absolutely handle the heat.The handle being wood never got hot.Easy to clean.The underside has no ridges and is completely flat, which I wanted. You can even use it for grilling sandwiches, burgers. It’s just so good.I know this tool will last longer than my grill I have! That reminds me I need a new grill…..

Well worth it. Solid weighty feel. I hate flimsy crap. This is NOT flimsy crap. Easy to clean. Don't put it in dishwasher, it's got a wooden handle.

A very solid & satisfying bit of kit
This is a very satisfying, solid burger press that doesn't flex or bend under load and gives your arm a gym workout while squashing your burger patty as wide and thin as you'd like it. Bit of a pain to hand wash due to the wooden handle but worth it and I think it will probably last a lifetime. A joy to use.

Good Weight and Grip
Exactly as expected. You can see some dimples where the screws are, but on my one they are smooth and it doesn't affect the use of the product. It is nicely made, a good weight to it, used it once so far, will see how it lasts

More than just a burger smasher
I nearly didn’t buy this due to the comment concerning protruding rivets. As you can see from the photo the base is as smooth as the proverbial baby’s bottom!! I’m absolutely delighted with this. I bought it for smashing my home made burgers but discovered it’s absolutely ideal for making perfect crispy bacon. Great for sausages too. I highly recommend it.
