It seems and looks like jello, good smell. As soon as I put it on my edges I knew they weren’t going anywhere. It passes the scratch test as well. When I used Ecostyler or other gels the beginning of the day it would come out of place half of my work shift. Bask and Lather lasts me from the morning past bedtime, if I let it stay on that well. I would recommend holding a makeup wipe on your edges for at least a minute and a half before rubbing the gel off at the end of the day. I haven’t experienced a white cast or flakes at all.

My 4C hair loves this product. I have used countless of edge control products and was seldom satisfied. It last so much longer than most products. To make it last longer, particularly the next day, I usually use a little water and tie it down. Then I have another day of hold for my edges. I will be adding this product to my hair care regimen. Love it! I've recommended to my daughter.

I love the fragrance and it does hold edges without the stiff feel or repeated touch ups. Apply once and you’re good for 3 days. What I didn’t like is that it gave my hair a matte finish and on the second day the edges had white residue

I live in Florida where it’s humid most of the time and hot all of the time 🥵 This edge control holds up even in hot sweaty conditions. My hair curls up as soon as it gets wet, but this edge control keeps it under control. Better than anything I’ve tried so far including Ebin 24 Hour, Gorilla Snot and Got2B Ultra glued. There is no flaking and it doesn’t get gooey in the heat. It really holds everything in place no scarf needed. Consistency is great. I’m hooked!

Absolutely the best edge control ever. I had no real expectations and I'm not very easily impressed. I've heard rave reviews about so many other brands that didn't live up to the hype but let me say, Bask & Lather did not disappoint. I have already recommended it to several people and they have called me with praise for introducing them to this product. If you're undecided, just do it, you will not be disappointed.

All that hype and it did what every other edge control would do. Granted, it did last "longer" but I expected all day. I expected no residue. I expected gorilla glue-ish. Instead I got semi greasy with white/pinkish gunk. I was able to apply water the next day to remove it and slick it back down without using but a small amount of product but in no time it rolled back up. It's about 85 degrees here. After a few hours it still holds on but not with the same slickness as being applied. I would chose this over others but only until I find something better.

I like this gel so much I decided to add it to my subscriptions. I have noticed a bit of white flaking a few times, but this is likely because I used another product in conjunction.When used sparingly, it's not sticky and holds well even in high humidity.
