Jokari 40026 PWS-Plus 003 Micro-Precision Stripper

As a newbie, I was trying to strip the insulation from the inner wires in an USB cable, and this was the best tool I found for the job (in an accessible price range).The largest hole is only 0.4mm, which is a bit small, but by applying a bit less pressure, it gets the job done very well.Highly recommend if you want to strip very small wires!

This feels incredibly solid and has a very well thought out design which helps you get repeatable results quickly. The settings for gauge and length to trim have steps and stay where you put them. This tool doesn't have the "give" which I've found problematic for thin wires with other tools.

I used to have a set of the CK wire strippers for thin wire (the squeeze-together type). They were okay, but the Jokari is a huge improvement. Blades feel sharper and the adjustment is more positive. Wire strips cleanly every time - the CK sometimes didn't bite through the insulation (or bit into the copper), which usually broke the wire.Feels weird to review a set of wire strippers. I was going to repair the CK ones to keep as spares, but I think I'll just buy a spare set of these instead.

Great !! I use this to cut 24awg and 30awg single core wire for high speed MCU electronic circuit prototypes - cuts perfect every time and with precision - don't bother with anything else, these are the only strippers that actually work. Takes a few tries to get the hang of it - 1) select correct wire gauge, 2) select cut length 3) insert wire and press lever down as far as it will go 4) spin wire a few times 5) release lever a very small amount and pull wire out (important stage - if you don't release the lever a little - it'll go wrong, you'll either snap the wire or be unable to pull it out). 6) Boom!! Will be perfectly cut every time.

I have many wire strippers but I needed to strip the delicate pickup wires on my guitar. All my other strippers just ate through them so I ordered these. Not cheap but absolutely amazing! The wires were 0.3mm and this stripper worked perfectly. Started on 0.4mm then tried 0.3mm and success. Set the wire length to 5mm and the results were spot on. If I ever need to strip anything as fine as a hair I now can. Great addition to my electronics tool box.

Had this a few months now, and for stripping thin wire ?. It's perfect. Worth the money.Well done to the manufacturers.

Very good for cutting and stripping very small wires. Ie. Vintage robots.
