The Julius K9 harness really is a fantastic design and comes in a wide range of sizes. The harness is premium quality, easy to clean and tough , very durable yet remains very comfortable. The design (velcro front band and adjustable tummy strap allows easy adjustment and the side clip make fitting and removing easy. The harness is machine washable and even after hundreds of washes retains colour , integrity and comfort with little sign of stretching or shrinkage. We have bought many of these in different sizes and they are our first choice and the only harness we would recommend to others. Main tip is to make sure you get correct size, your furry friend/s will appreciate the comfort.

We currently have three dogs, a medium sized 7 year old adult rescue cross, a full grown male German shepherd and now we have bought one for our 7 month old German shepherd x St Bernard. We first bought one when our adult male was a puppy and saw him through a few sizes. Our puppy had smaller cheaper harnesses, mainly due to the fact I knew because of her breed she would rapidly outgrown them. Now that she is getting bigger I thought it was a good time to get the harness on her.What I like about these is the versatility. There are so many colour options out there and available. The sizes overlap so you don’t have to be in that awkward is it this size or this size position. And the Velcro labels mean you can communicate with others.We’ve found it hard when you have a cute little puppy that’s training to keep people from squealing and coming towards them. Our puppy we have at the moment was a rescue and came from serious neglect and has needed a lot of training, so while I encourage people to say hello, I need it to be done on her terms so a nice “please ask before you pet” label will be spot on for her. Likewise my adult male uses an “anxious, do not pet” label because that’s what he needs.I also like the handle on their back. Perfect for reaching down and having that extra hold on them in certain situations. I’ve used it with my medium size dog to pick him up quickly countless times.The D ring on ours have all been metal - I can imagine if the D ring is plastic and you have a big dog or one that pulls that it won’t last very long!These are sturdy and well built with quality materials. I’ve seen some knock off versions and they very quickly start to look like the fabric or Velcro is wearing.I think these are a must, particularly if you have a big dog. Our oldest dog doesn’t use this as what we connect him to when walking, but he wears one so I have the extra handle to grab hold of and the labels asking people to leave him alone. The only thing I’d say with these is I found my older German shepherd became a puller and he liked the “drag” walking with a harness gave him, so when we trained him not to pull we used an alternative method.If you’re looking for a harness, julius k9 harnesses are the way to go.

Bought for a 4 month old Cockerpoo and it fit on the smallest setting. She now 6 months and I’ve let it out a bit. Still fits with plenty more room for growing. As the others have said it’s a shame the clip for the lead is plastic but I will definitely buy another if she grows out of this one

Bought this as an upgrade from a cheaper model/make. The cheaper harness had narrower straps which rubbed the back of my Goldie's front legs - as a consequence she (Lottie) never liked it being put on her.I can tell from the way Lottie reacted during her afternoon walk today that the IDC Powerharness is a much more comfortable fit for her. She is almost 9 months old and after measuring her, I chose the Large IDC Powerharness (size 2) - which fits her well but also has enough capacity to adjust with her as she grows. The belly strap feels like car seat belt material and is similarly wide - which probably helps distribute forces more evenly and probably feels nicer than a narrower belly strap. The belly strap also sits about 2 inches behind her front legs so it doesn't rub and irritate like cheaper models/makes can do. The large area of the harness itself probably provides a little extra warmth in cold windy rainy weather and it looks and feels robust.Once the front velcro strap has been set, you won't need to adjust it again unless your dog grows - so it just easily loops over your dog's head and is not a tight loop (unlike cheaper makes/models) so it doesn't annoy my Lottie. The metal buckle on top is strong and shiny which looks good against the black model I bought.I connect my dog's lead to the harness buckle using a small carabiner.Money well spent!
