This product works more or less but is a nightmare to install & learn to use. You have to line it up absolutely perfectly otherwise it won’t shut, and the instructions are awful and of no help. Also, the bottom latch is essentially unusable because it latches differently than the top and it locks the gate in place without being able to unlatch it. After a couple days of use, the gate stopped lining up with the top latch and I have to readjust the gate every week or so otherwise I have to manually lift the gate to latch in place. Something they don’t make clear in the instructions is that you have to pinch AND lift the gate to open it. The instructions just tell you to pinch and push which is wrong because you have to lift the gate out of the latch. It feels unnatural and forced to lift it out, and I believe this is what attributes to the weekly misalignment of the gate and the latch. With better functioning hardware and installation instructions, this product would be great but in its current state I would not recommend it.

We use this solid gate to keep the dogs out of the bedroom when we are not in there due to fostering. The gate does well and keeps them out. We have it a little off the ground for the kitties to be able to go in and out and to get away from the pups. I would recommend the gate

The black screen feels very sturdy. It's a soft kind of plastic and it feels like a tarp. Fairly easy to set up and it also helps that it can extend to adjust for a wider door frame. It's a screen, so it definitely helps prevent anything from squeezing through or any toys and such from getting through.

This thing is actually really neat. I love that it doesn’t touch the ground. It’s easy to open and close one handed which I need in my home because it’s at the top of the stairs that we go up and down a lot. Having to fidget with it like I’ve done with others was not something I wanted to do so this is a plus. I also love that only part of it is mesh. The bottom and top being bars makes it feel so much more safe. I trust that my baby can’t get underneath it or past it like he can with the mesh ones which brings me relief along with the fact that this thing is anchored into the wall so there’s no chance of it falling like the pressurized ones. Easy to install as well. Love the auto close feature! Awesome that if you open it slightly to get through it will close so you don’t have to bother turning around to do it yourself. Don’t want it to close all you have to do is open it all the way and it stays open. Very smart and handy feature. Never have to adjust it. Would totally recommend.After some time the gate does not work as great as it once did. Having to fuss with it to not extend or move- causes it to not latch securely. We have to push it down to ensure it’s closed otherwise my baby will fall through it if he pushes on it. Disappointed.

This gate is very sturdy and easy to open and close. It opens wide enough for me to help my 99 year old mother up the 2 stairs. And, perfect to keep my mother safe at night. It is perfect for my and my mother's needs.

Moving between the kitchen and living room/dining area can get quick frustrating if you need to worry about a baby gate getting in the way. This "No bottom Bar" baby gate gives you the safety and security of a baby gate, combined with the ease and threshold-less function of this gate, which lets you seamlessly move past the gate, without accidentally tripping over the threshold or needing to lift up a stroller, wagon, or other wheeled objects. The mesh design of the gate also helps protect your baby, if they run and play and run into the gate, they won't be as hurt as if they ran into a metal or wooden gate rungs. This gate is easily adjustable between 26-43 inches, for stability purposes, I only went as far as the 40 inch and installed a couple 2x4s as anchor points to secure the gate. Overall a great new design, and I love how easy it is to transition between the main hall/living room and kitchen now.

Mynhusband has tried everything to leep this gate up, every time it is closed or opened it just falls apart. Save your money, don't buy it
