I have fallen IN LOVE with Rotis all over again
Objective: Buy a roti maker Since maids are not allowed into our house due to the COVID crisis,Reason: Feeling guilty as my mom and wife were making rotis for a large family of 6 since March last year.Result: After a lot of confusion over Roti Makers on Amazon, we chose Bajaj - all our small home appliances, fan, mixie, sandwich maker are Bajaj.Surprised my mom/wife with the Roti Maker. Initial reaction shock from the ladies on why I bought something for such a simple chore.Day 1: Followed all the rules and saw the video: Rotis extremely crisp and my ears red from listening & interferingDay 2: Saw the video again, realized we missed a step. Rotis better but did not swellDay3: Let the ladies do it on their own and saw puffed rotis coming out on their own.By Day 5, we had experimented with Khakhra, chana roti, missi roti, bajra roti, potato and onion roti, ajwain and salt roti etc. Each felt like it was coming straight out of the tandoor.Day 6: Fights going on for who will make the roti. All cautions on dough has to be fresh, little wet etc etc were thrown out of the wind as NOW My Mom, my wife my kids, would sit together and eat. We just had to make dough balls from the dough prepared even a night ago. Each dough ball takes about a min unless its a Missi Roti or Makki ki roti dough. we just apply ghee on top or butter post the roti being made. The result of eating fresh SUPER hot Rotis has ensured that all of us are back on the dining table (where the Roti maker rests) instead of everyone going at their own pace for lunch, and using the microwave to heat but never together. My Mom, wife and I have each asked each other several times "why on earth did we not buy the Roti Maker before, and make our lives simpler and better. Before I end, I should also like to thank the Bajaj family for helping me within 15 days of buying the Roti Maker. My son switched on the Roti Maker by accident and post heating the two sides got jammed as there was a little plastic foam which melted and got stuck between both plates. Its there for protection so that the two hot plates dont scratch each other. Imagine my surprise when the head of Bajaj Vacco himself spoke to one of his engineers and gave me the solution. Just to save me the trouble of going and handing it to the service centre. This level of support is undoubtedly the best I have received. Two months later, the Roti Maker is still on proud display on our dining table, and we count our lucky stars that we ended up buying Bajay Vacco's roti maker which is sturdy and a super product. I'm more than happy to answer questions to buyers as we also faced a confusing day in which there was a lot of giggling over crisp rotis before we got used to the Roti maker. This is probably the most ignored appliance in anyones kitchen but NOW the most important one in our family. God bless you Bajaj Vacco and your service team!!!

Roti maker
The product is not that useful. While it saves time, the chapatis won't be as good as those made over the stove.

Lifesaver!!
The media could not be loaded. I researched long and hard before buying this because of the negative reviews. When I used it the first time, it was a major fail but I kept trying to make it work. And I nailed it, after a few attempts! The trick is really in the water-atta ratio. The consistency of the dough is what matters. And, not a single drop of oil. This gadget is a great invention and is a keeper!Adding to this comment after about 8 months of use. I broke the upper lifting handle because I pressed incorrectly and contacted support. They were very generous, polite and supportive through the entire process of sending me the spare part, free of cost. For the few days while I waited for the maker to be fixed, I didn't even to hand roll the chapathis anymore Once you've done this, with excellent results, you never want to go back to the old way of making chapathis!!Highly highly recommend the product and the brand!! Just go for it and figure it out with the seller if you don't get the desired results. It really is super simple.Make soft dough that is quite sticky in your hands (no oil). Leave for about 20mins.Make balls and roll in atta and leave for 10 minsPut them in the maker!!Remove and put in a hot case and dab a bit of ghee on it and keep covered. Stays soft for hours.

Heat issue
Too much heat, roti get burned and not cooked properly. Got fingers burned most of the time handling it. Wish I had read the other negative reviews properly. No use of this product , or may be you can use it as a presser because that only worked properly.

Worst service delivery in case the machine has any problem.
Around 5 months after i bought the roti maker it stopped working . When i called the company , they asked me to mail the issue but even after 25 days they did not take any step . Meanwhile i would have called nd mailed them for minimum of 10 times. When i called my local electronic mechanic , he told the issue was with the cord of thr roti maker.. i changed the cord which costed me Rs. 250. Bajaj has response till nowRotis being made is completely different from what we make in our gas stoves.
