AMD Ryzen™ 5 9600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

This is an amazing little CPU. Plays everything max settings at 1440p when paired with a rx7900gre. I was able to overclock it to 5.65ghz with a -55 core voltage curve undervolt, and the infinity clock set to 2100mhz. I was originally only going to use this as a stepping stone to get into the am5 platform, but now I think I'm going to use this CPU for years to come. I got this on sale from Amazon at $180, and for that price it has amazing value!It does get fairly warm, especially doing benchmarks and stress tests. I paired it with a thermalright phantom spirit 120 Evo. I limited the TJ Max temp to 83⁰c, stock it's at 95⁰c. But during gaming it never goes above 70⁰c. To be honest, I think this Ryzen 5 is what most people need for 1440p gaming. Don't waste your money buying the more expensive chips, if you're only going to use it for gaming.

Built a new PC and went with this processor — couldn’t be happier! Super fast, smooth performance, and it handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far without breaking a sweat. Excellent value if picked up on sale. Snagged this for $220 and it absolutely stomps. Cinebench multi core comes in at 924. Compared to the top of their benchmarks this is tremendous performance per dollar, with the very best Apple M1 Ultra 20 core scoring just over 1600. Heck, the next best ranked a Ryzen 5 Threadripper 2990 with 32 cores only manages a synthetic 1201. That's nuts!I've had this up and running for a few hours with a very basic ID-Cooler Frozen a620 and it runs well within spec. Idle around 40c, full load around 65c. This packaging does not come with a cooler of any kind, so keep that in mind when you're budgeting.As I've been running benchmarks it'll hit the max TDP of 65w and just.....breeze through computations. No fuss, no muss. In general duty so far it smoothly ramps clock speed depending on the load without hiccups or slowdown. I never thought I'd see the day where a factory CPU will peg itself to 5.4ghz and scream for more yet sip power like this thing does.Just simply floored at how far AMD has come.

Upgraded from a 4 year old CPU and immediately noticed the difference on all software just performing better. The CPU was very easy to instal when comparing this AM5 cpu to AM4.

This CPU is blazing fast. It handles everything I throw at it, and for such a cheap price! It runs nice and cool, only reaching 50-55C when gaming with my fans only at low, unnoticeable speeds.

It works perfectly run smooth and even the integrated graphics on. It are pretty good and for the price that I got it at $150 I can’t complain.
