It just arrived!(This is what I so love about Amazon. Their method of delivery always reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoons. When a cartoon character orders from ACME in like the next 3 seconds there is a knock at the door from a courier announcing the delivery of their package...lol...love it.)What an ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE box!It came very well packaged and it is absolutely gorgeous.It is a birthday present for a mermaid lover and to my pleasant surprise the mermaid on the box is purple...yup, the fave color of my mermaid recipient. She is going to just go crazy when she sees this. I can't wait for her to unwrap her present.I am so very pleased with this that I am actually thinking of keeping this!...Lol.Trust me guys, if you are thinking about purchasing this item, DO IT! You won't be sorry.The carving of the mermaid is very intricate and simply beautiful.Now, it is not as large as it appears in the picture...it is truly a knick-knack box... about the size of my Galaxy S4 phone...but has some weight to it.However, I have a mermaid necklace that I am going to put in the box. So it will be a surprise in a surprise.I am so excited for her and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.I will not upload a photo because other reviewers have dons so already and I truly thank them. As one other reviewer mentioned in another post, uploading photos of the item really helps the buyer because sometimes the photo taken of the merchandise by the advertisers, fail to really show you what you are really purchasing.Since I will only shop online and ONLY from AMAZON because I trust them IMPLICITLY, I will try to post about my merchandise and if need be upload photos to help others make their purchases.Thank you!

was a gift to my daughter in law.. very cute a nice small trinket box ... makes a nice gift !!!

Mine came broken her tail is very thin up by her fin. I guess I was disappointed ! But I do love it I glued mine back on just because I did not want to go through the hassle of the return and wait and blah blah so if anyone wants to know it did glue back on nice 👍🏼 took some creativity though I used a plastic chip clip to hold it together lol till it dried !It’s very very light not metal and can fit maybe a few bracelets ( nothing thick ) . Has great detail but no you can’t use the lock lol - the lid just comes strait off 🙂Cute over all

First, the packaging. The box it came in is a little silly in how big it is, but it definitely keeps the chest safe. No problem at all, even cosmetically on the box, and fitted Styrofoam on the inside kept it nice and safe.The chest itself: Oh my gosh. I am so pleased with this. It is weighty — it feels like high quality, sturdy metal. I don't have any worries about it breaking or tarnishing. The container itself isn't especially large, but it'll work well for rings, bracelets, and smaller necklaces and wristwatches.Overall: An excellent purchase for any of my fellow land-mermaids. Tasteful, well-designed, and a welcome addition to my collection of thingamabobs.

This is a beautiful work of art piece. I am always looking for useful and artistic things. Right now mine is sitting on my bathroom countertop with some of my glosses in it. I am happy to have my flossers at easy reach and to look at the beautiful art work... It is a win win. You can really use this for so many things. It was bigger than I expected... but too small to fit a whole bag of flossers in it. I love it!

I love this box! It is a little small but it is well made and just lovely. I have it on my wine bar and it holds the wine glass charms.

It will be a Christmas Gift for my Granddaughter who happens to Love Mermaids...
