Lanacane Original Medicated Cream

Being an outdoor person in western Colorado, I collect a certain number of bug bites during the course of almost any day during the warmer months. I apply a dab of Lanacane to each bite at night before I go to bed and it takes the itch right out so I don't scratch in my sleep. Usually, by morning the healing has progressed to the point where the bites no longer itch, but sometimes a second application is needed.Good stuff. I keep a tube in the bathroom, one by my easy chair, one by the bed, and one in each vehicle's first aid kit, so it's never far away when needed. VM

The tube that I purchased at at a local Walgreens is 1 oz, 28 g, Benzethonium Chloride 0.2% Benzocaine 20%The tube that I purchased on Amazon (this listing) is 60 G, 3% w/w benzocaineI haven't actually used this product yet, so I can't report on it's effectiveness. I'll come back to this review after I do so that I can rate it more fairly and add additional comments.

It says original but the original is a cream and this is a very small tube of ointment. It works very well however not what I expected.

Ot works great for itching

We looked locally and then called online to verify that it is not available at a local store. Have used Lanacane before and it works very well.

Skin irritation from allergic rash

IT HAD LESS IN IT THAN WHAT I HAD FROM THE ORIGINAL ONE I HAD FROM A WHILE AGO. BUT IT WORKS OK.

I used it for mosquito bites. I’m very allergic to them and when bitten it itches like crazy.
