They're Worth It
I have tried the other cheap junk claiming to add secure rails to firearms, but THIS set-up actually works. I've outfitted four 1911 platforms with both the H & the P models. I prefer the P model myself as I like to add the Pearce Rubber Finger Molded Insert to each, & it seems to be made for those in mind. The H Model is still extremely solid though. As advertised, they'll install in around three minutes & they're extremely durable. My Olights attach just fine & haven't flown off during trigger therapy. I wouldn't trust a laser device to hold true past PB targets, but at PB it should keep you center mass. Overall, its light, comfortable & affordable, & definitely gets the job done.

Best option out there to mount a flashlight to your 1911
This is by far the best way to apply around to your 1911 no matter what kind of 1911 you have I've tried streamlight they don't stay on the trigger guard this is the best way to go they are securely attached with two bolts for the handle plates as well as two allen wrench bolts to mount it to the gun flashlight stays secure 100% recommend this to all 1911 owners grip size is great to feel of the Mount is incredible you can't be the value I paid the same for the light and the mount itself as I would a normal streamlight light

I really like this
These fit my Springfield Mil-Spec great. And I think it makes the pistol feel better in your hand too. It came with 2 sets of grip panels however one set was for the same side. I just painted the ones I used. I tried a Streamlight TLR7, a Surefire & a Sig Foxtrot 1. They all fit like they should have. I do wish the plastic it's made from was a little more heavier duty. I've got another of of these on another 1911 & it's held up for over 2 years. So I guess they're strong enough. I'm very happy with how it looks & feels and will probably buy one for my Glock Gen 1 17. It's very easy to mount also.

Very very useful.
Very cool and useful! Now I can hook up my Mantis to it for practice! Need to get some other inserts for the grips for style purposes..

No rail no problem
Perfect addition to your 1911 if you don't have a rail. The material is quality made. And it gives that custom look as well as functionality. Very sturdy with a light mounted to it. Light weight so no extra weight to your 1911. Great deal for great quality. Feels good in hand. And simple and fast to install.

Pay attention to the dimensions provided on the ReCover website.
The fit of the grip/rail system is awesome. Don't base your selection strictly upon how many rounds your mag holds. Measure the distance between the grip screws and order accordingly. I ordered the CC3P item and could not be happier. Now I can mount a lite and laser sight to my 1911 and get the modular features while keeping the classic greatness of the 1911.Way to go ReCover!

Read this before you buy.
Its hard to be positive or negative about it really. Came when it was supposed to. Fit my rock island 1911 for the most part. The holes for the grip screw didn't line up properly had to file a little bit and contort the grip to get the grip screw to line up correctly. After getting it on and fitted properly the light fit just fine and had not issues until I tried to get it to fit in the holster I had been using without the light. The trigger guard was now to wide to fit that holster and had to buy the black hawk omnivore holster for the light I was using. The biggest issue I had was when I tried my safari land holster for the gun and light I had it didn't fit. I found that the rail sits a little over 1/4 inch to low for it to fit. So rather then get a $300 holster recorder to fit one firearm I decided to go with a different lower receiver all together. And after sometime of shooting the screws that hold the front of the grip together loosened up and I lost one. The other didn't fall out because I had the light on it. So if you have a holster specific for a 1911 with a rail that you intend to keep using or you are serious about having a rail on a firearm that your life may depend on do not buy this. If you are looking for a cheap option to have a rail and you are ok with buying new holsters just for this then go ahead. For the most part it worked for me but my firearm was an investment and my life and others depend on it working.
