Very handy, good investment.
Easy to use, seems accurate, very sensitive, good looking. Good for general shop use. I have a basement workshop, and run a lot of different machine tools. I find it comforting to know the sound levels to protect myself and others . I now know which machines will bother people on the main level of the house, so I do not disturb them at certain hours of the night.

Works well for the cost. Sometimes the microphone comes off.Update:at first it worked well but after a couple weeks the calibration was very off and there was no way to adjust it.

Works as promised
We needed this to check the A/C unit for a rental that received complaints and the reading came in just the same as what the "pro" measured. We needed to double check and we are happy with the meter.
