Walthers Cornerstone Series Kit HO Scale Merchant's Row II

I love this kit. I have bought several and cut them up to change the layout to suit my building needs. Everything you need is here for great looking buildings and storefronts

It really looks nice. I added extra detail to it. Looks good. Easy to put together.

Even with smaller female hands, this was a pain in the butt to get together, especially with finger tips glueing to each other or the little plastic window panes. The signs broke when I tried to get them free of the framed casing. I managed to get one on but it broke during boxing to wrap it up for Christmas.Fun to paint to add detail. Glad I got it, but I like the ease of other model brands.

I really like the quality and I didn't expect as much painting as I am used to with Walthers products

Nicely designed kit. All parts fit together well. Good easy to follow instructions. Plan to spend many hours in painting! There are numerous window frames, trim pieces and other parts to paint. Adding mortar to the brick panels is necessary but also time consuming.

Very hard to glue and assemble

I purchased this kit to provide the majority of shops on my HO train layout. The kit went together easily and the detailing is wonderful (so typical of Walthers Cornerstone kits). In my case, I cut the 'block' such that it was ~3" thick as it was to be used as a background scene. With the installation of window scenes (and figures)Merchant's Row is a great addition to any layout. As with any styrene kit, I recommend one paint the structure (allowing some variation between 'shops').

I was nervous reading reviews and buying that I might get struggle but it seems others just had a skill issue. Very easy to follow instructions. Read them and use a sharp model knife for thin small pieces. Had one or two cracks trying to just push things out but nothing model glue couldn't fix. Love the look and how it sits. Too nervous to wreck it with paint lol

Nice product not For kids

C’est mon troisième bâtiment de merchant, apprécie énormément, sauf mise à part les directives (instructions). Si vous n’avez pas d’expérience il se peut que ça soit un peu ardue mais pas assez pour s’en passer. Un reproche serait également les enseigne avec les collants. Si vous n’avez pas le kit de colle pour ces décalques une fois pausé, il se peut que le tout décolle!!!! Merchant row I II et III n’ont pas de roomette pour l’intérieur contrairement pour le 4 et 5. Je donne 4 étoiles car ça vaut quand même la peine d’avoir ces bâtiments dans un layout des années 50-60. Bon bricolage!!!

Die Gebäude lassen sich super zusammensetzen, sind denke auch für jüngere modellbahnfreunde geeignet .Man sollte die Gebäude nach belieben vorher mit einem günstigen Autolack in der gewünschten Farbe lackieren
