Great harness

Great fit. Good tightening range and fits him super comfy. Very durable. Worth the money! Size xs, he’s a smaller cat roughly 10-12 pounds.

Escape proof harness

This harness is definitely escape proof. My cat wore it for a long road trip and was very comfortable. It is soft and breathable. It was nice to have something to hang onto while taking her out of her crate into the house or a motel room. I do wish however that the neck part was capable of being able to put on without having to pull it over her head. She hated that part. Overall it is a good quality harness.

Size smaller than advertised but great harness!

Size smaller than advertised. However , it is a really comfortable , strong, and well designed harness that my cat cannot escape from, and it's easy to put it on her.

Harness and leash

The best harness for kittens and adult cats. Protective and adjustable. Fits snug, great quality. Highly recommend.

Small

Good quality but runs a little small. I bought for my cat and she doesn’t like it but I will try again.

I like it and the cat likes it!

The cat was okay with it very quickly, even though in the photo she does not look like she's happy (after 30 minutes she was actually looking smug like, "I'm pretty cool looking with this thing!"), she is definitely okay with it. She rolled around a few times and walked slowly at first, but seemed okay with it well within 10 or 15 minutes. I've put it on her a few times since, just to see if it was a fluke. I praised her a lot and gave her treats - if she will eat treats, she is okay with what is going on. Some complain about their cats slipping out, but I believe it is either sized wrong or left too loose. Like a horse saddle, it has to be tight - not just down on the fur/hair - but must be loose enough so as not to restrict breathing or circulation. Make sure you make the fit tight enough so they cannot slip out and test it a lot indoors before going outside. (Definitely not like a dog that takes about 30 seconds to leash train! I have had dogs slip out of their collars that were too loose too, but at least you can usually get them back quickly. Cats are much more resistant to leashes and harnesses and can be impossible to get back.) It is A BIT CONFUSING on ordering because the sizes are "XS" and "S" and our brains think, "EXTRA SMALL" and "SMALL" but once I really measured the cat found my full grown cat was an "XS" size but would think maybe a KITTEN would be XS so my tendency would be to buy... "S"... maybe… if I did not measure her? When I first looked at these, I guessed at my cat's size and ASSUMED she was a S[mall] and could no way be and XS[mall]. I do not believe the S and XS mean SMALL and EXTRA SMALL even though XS is smaller than S. It would be better if the size was a different designation, forcing you to measure your cat so you purchase the correct size. I purchased a cloth tape at a hobby store and measured her with that. I bought the harness for emergencies (so I do not know how they would work / holdup with daily use) - my cat is an "indoor cat" but when she freaks out (like when the lawn mower is running around in the yard) she can be difficult to console or get calmed down; she will not take treats in moments like that. I reason in an actual emergency where I have to leave the house (fire, flood, tornado, etc.) it would be impossible to control her and she would potentially be lost forever. I have a travel "condo" with litter box for the back seat (Amazon) which is also for emergencies and the harness will be required to have any hope of safely getting her from the house to the car “travel condo” and to get her out without getting away at a new destination – just have to make sure you have good control of the leash. I put the harness on her once in a while to make sure she's still okay with it and she slips her head right in now, like it is a game. She patiently waits for me to snap in the two clips, too... with lots of praise and followed with treats. Very quickly delivered and a good price. Hope this helps.

From cat to battle cat

I did some research before buying this cat harness and read about what size was best and what features it had but I was never told how my cat might react to wearing it. My little buddy is a black cat named Bean. Bean is an indoor cat who has been expressing an interest in the back yard. He had been expressing a lot of longing to enjoy the nice weather in the back yard so I thought getting him a harness was a good solution. Well, it was a terrible idea! First of all, putting it on him was an ordeal in itself.. the quick release doesn't mean it goes on quick.. when I tried to tighten it, he tried to bite me.. he missed and only nicked me with a tooth.. tis but a scratch. After I got it on, he refused to budge.. I had to lift him to move him... he growled at me! Setting him down caused him to look at me darkly with his ears back.. I set him down next to some grass but he kinda nipped at the grass making angry munching sounds.. then he got up.. and I thought, oh good he's getting used to it.. nope, he leaped straight up and pulled and pulled at it, hissing and making awful sounds.. I had to push him with my foot towards the house door as he kept leaping forward.. until I got him to leap inside.. where he just sat there looking really angry. I removed the leash and left him in the harness because he was kinda scary.. after about 10 minutes I worked up enough courage to attempt to get the harness off.. popping off the quick release clips one at a time then pulling it off his head.. he was jumpy and not happy throughout the removal process and looked like he was going to attack at any moment.. so I was very releaved when it was off of him. He brooded for a while.. but eventually came and rubbed up against me. It was over. I can't say that I will ever use that harness ever again. If you don't start them off getting used to a harness when they are young.. you may have a similar experience as myself.. your cat will hate it.. and blame you.
