Have a Question? See What Others Asked

We can see for miles from my back porch - would this be good for viewing that far?
Does it good for target shooting?
I just need a good scope for target shooting for up to 150yds at most. I have a ruger mini 14 rifle and would want to see the bullet holes from 100yds
Aside of the 45 degree eye lens and tripod, what difference if any does this scope have from the emarth 20-60x60se? are the optics the same?

i love this spotting scope

This spotting scope is one of the best outdoor tools I’ve ever purchased! It works like a telescope with powerful 20-60x zoom, giving me crystal-clear views of birds, wildlife, and distant landscapes. The image quality is sharp, and the angled design makes long viewing sessions very comfortable. It comes with a sturdy tripod and a phone adapter, which makes it super easy to take amazing pictures through the lens. Whether you're looking for a high-quality spotting scope or a portable telescope for nature adventures, this is a fantastic choice — and such a great value for the price!

Great cheap spotting scope

The function is great, let’s my see my shots on paper without calling a cold range. The visibility is okay, it’s decently clear but gets pretty dark in the higher zoom levels. It’s pretty lightweight as well which is always a plus. I’m not too sure how durable it is, I have not dropped it yet or purposely thrown it at a tree to test it.

Real nice spotters scope

Real nice spotters scope. I use it every day at the rifle range. It is great for sighting in a newly mounted rifle scope.

Awesome value

Better than I though at this price point. I recommend for anyone needing a budget spotting scope.

Phone mount sucks

The phone mount suction sucks and very inconvenient. You definitely are risking your phone when using the mount

Shooting Rifles - Picture of the Moon looking through this scope

I ranged a house across a lake at 780 yards. With this spotting scope I could easily see the expressions on the faces of a boy and girl that were sitting next to each other. Also an adult male was doing yard work at the house next door (similar distance) and I could read the words on his shirt..224 sized bullet holes could be viewed at 150 yards on normal paper targets. We did not shoot longer than 150 yards that day. I would assume with splatter targets you could view the holes at a lot further distance.I mostly shoot at steel targets. I have not tried it yet, but I sincerely do not think seeing hits on steel at 1000 yards will be an issue.Attached is a pic I took of the moon through this spotting scope. I took the picture on my 4 1/2 year old Droid phone without it mounted securely to the scope. I just held it by hand, which was almost impossible to hold it still enough. Even though the picture is mostly clear, it was noticeably more clear looking at the moon with your naked eye through the scope and not the phone picture.Edit:I just read through some of the comments on this spotting scope and it's really blowing my mind. I never used the tripod that came with the scope so maybe that is the difference... but when people are saying this is only a 100 or 200 yard spotting scope is really surprising me. I could read the numbers on mailboxes 400 yards away no problem (I didn't try longer). I could read that guy's shirt at almost 800 yards.I'll try to remember the next time I go to the 500 yard range to shoot my 30-06 and see if I can see the holes in normal paper or if I would need splatter targets. The results wouldn't surprise me either way. This is a pretty dang good spotting scope. Also there were a few questions and comments about the fact that the eyepiece doesn't rotate. Just plan on buying a decent tripod and that will also not be a problem. The mounting base of tripods will angle towards you, which is what I do. I share a tripod between this scope and my chronograph when I'm using it.The only feature that would make this spotting scope better is if it had a Milliradian reticle that was first focal plane. But that's what I like, not 90% of other people. :)

Great Spotting ScopeI liked it so much, I bought another!

I bought my first Emarth Scope about 2 years and have field tested through rain, sleet, had brutal sun over a hundred days, ever since. I've got a more expensive much larger and heavier high end scope (80mm ED). Weight is an issue for me, since I carry up to 30-lbs of other gear, so the Emarth is ultra light (2-lbs alone); And when combined with by carbon fiber travel tripod (which costs a lot more than the scope), the whole setup weigh just over 4.5-lbs (vs 9-lbs using w/the other scope). Plus, there's a 10-fold difference in the price between my 2 scopes: $500 vs $50. The Emarth is perfect for my needs in spotting and Id'ing wildlife.Personally, I don't 'see' much difference in function, brightness, and clarity between both these 2 scopes; especially during daylight (dawn-to-early dusk). Both scopes feature BAK4 prisms and fully multicoated lens. Seriously, try to find that in other spotting scopes. It'll cost twice as much. Imo, it functions very well at low light. In fact, at dusk or night, I can clearly see the moons of Jupiter. Clarity is outstanding, which is exceptional up to 50X.Why the 2nd purchase? After over 2.5 years, heavy winds and heavy use has taken its toll. The scope (w/travel tripod) has fallen down on pavement, gravel, and sand (dunes), and mudflats several times. I took it for granted that this scope was nearly indestructible. The outer rubber surface is easily scuffed; but the last time it fell from the winds (25-30mph, which was my fault), the ocular lens got scratched when it struct a piece of shell on the sand. So when Amazon offered a special one day deal at just over $50 (w/coupon), I couldn't resist. The first scope has now been used as backup for friends, but they barely notice the scratch since it's not in the center. This time, I'll take better care of this second scope. :)
