Scripto Aim 'n FlameII Extra Long Utility Lighter

We tried a few lighters, but this was the one that was just long enough to light our furnace. Works well for deep candles as well.

I use this long reach lighter to start all my outdoor cooking devices. None of the auto light starters work. The long reach really does the job.

I did like the length of this lighter for lighting a gas fireplace, but honestly, it's not that much longer than a regular utility lighter. It has a child safety button on it, but it was so hard to push down and hold (even with both hands) that by the time I could get it lit, there was a ton of gas coming through the fireplace. This happened consistently, every time my husband or I tried to use it. I contacted the company and they simply said "it's childproof." When I said that still didn't explain how hard it was to light, they said to mail it back to them for a refund. Right, so you want me to pay to mail back a defective and dangerous product (with gasoline in it), in order to get a refund which most likely won't even cover the cost of shipping? Terrible customer service.

This Scripto lighter is only a couple of inches longer than their regular ones, but that couple of inches plus its single-action activation together make it much easier, and I think safer, to use. A little more expensive, but very much worth it.
