Chic workhorse to keep your air clean!
We live in southern California, and my partner has the terrible allergies!Come spring, it's 6 straight months of red, watery, itchy eyes and discomfort. Could we leave California, sure! But we each choose our hard. To make things a little easier, we ordered this air purifier to help with the particulates and allergens and just to make air quality all around a little better, even when the world is on fire around us.The air purifier is incredibly easy to set up out of the box with easy to follow instructions. It has multiple settings to adapt to your particular needs, and auto indicating lights to help you quickly understand air quality or when your filters need a quick change. The auto setting is great, when I am cooking you can hear it working overtime. Bonus: my house doesn't smell like fish for days after I decide to cook it. The filters are high quality and keep our home air a little fresher than before. Also it looks great! With two colors, it blends into the decor without looking like the typical eyesore.Highly recommend Coway airmega to keep your family's breathing easy

Works great!
Finally got to put this to the test as my area experienced some very smoky air. My eyes and chest would burn when I went outside, but inside with this on I was 100% fine. I'm extremely sensitive to bad air, so if I'm doing well then you know anyone will be okay. It's also great for day to day use as dust and allergens naturally builds up in the air of indoor spaces. If I'm feeling snuffly, turning this on helps me breathe easy. The lowest setting truly is whisper quiet, you can run it all night around the soundest of sleepers without anyone even noticing any noise. The highest setting is the opposite, quite loud, but it's good for if you need bad air cleaned ASAP. Don't think of the speed settings as "low, medium, high", think of them as "Silent mode, normal, MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE."Some people like ion mode, some people don't. There's an easy on/off button for that here, so whatever you like this air purifier will do it for you. The fact that it takes a standard filter size also makes it very versatile. A big problem with air purifiers is that if they take a weird custom size/shape of filter, it's nearly impossible to find proper replacement filters. For this, you're always going to be able to find a replacement to fit into it no problems. The only less than ideal thing about this is that you can't run this right next to sensitive electronics. It can create interference that might upset delicate electronics like computers, so it needs to be at least a few feet away from anything of that sort. That can be difficult in a small space. I haven't had any problems with my 'dumb' electronics (microwave, non-smart TV, remote control, that sort of thing) being neighbors with it though.

It’s worked really well for the year-ish I’ve had it
Shopping for an air purifier might be one of the most headache-inducing purchases (that isn’t a house, car, or insurance plan) in existence. So many factors have to be taken into consideration such as room size, the type of filtration, electricity costs, filter costs, noise level, durability, and effectiveness. In my air purifier research, I watched countless videos, read countless articles, and almost pressed the purchase button on countless units. All while growing overwhelmed by the sheer number of recommendations and dishonest manufacturers. After a lot of mind-numbing research, I eventually settled on this Coway unit and am very happy with the decision. I keep it in my 150 square foot bedroom on speed 2 (ionizer off) at all times. This gives me over 5 air changes per hour, and speed 2 only uses 8 watts of electricity (according to my research) so it had no noticeable effect on my electric bill. What it has had a noticeable effect on is the air quality. I find less dust on furniture and none in the air. I don’t wake up congested anymore. The air purifier gets rid of that smell when you just vacuum, litter box odors, and the dust that is kicked up when you clean the litter box. Filters are affordable when you take into account that you only need to purchase a replacement pack annually. My unit has worked well for the time that I’ve had it (and many other users have said their Coway Airmega units have lasted 4-7+ years) so the product seems durable. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and glad that I get to breathe fresher air. I can see why this unit is so highly recommended. It does what it’s supposed to do, and while some may find the design polarizing, I like it. It’s unique and interesting.

Excellent air purifier - easy to use
We buy a surprising number of air purifiers, and this is one of our favorites. Easy to use, easy to change, and not ugly to look at. And it works. I especially love the Econ, which I can set while I'm away and not needlessly eat up the filter and/or waste energy. We have one in several rooms of our house and in our office. Filters are not cheap, but that is true about all purifiers these days. They are quiet and do NOT give off any strange smell like one we bought last year from a different manufacturer.
