We always have a package ( or two. Or three.) on hand. They have a wonderful texture and take on the taste of whatever dish/ spices you’re using.So chicken~like you have to keep reminding yourself that you’re really not eating a dead bird.

I love soy curls
Soy curls are great for meat replacement. I love their versatility and ease of use. Butler's has recipes on their website, and there are lots of other recipes on the internet. This is a great product which I have bought many times and will continue to buy. The chicken flavoring is great for ease of use and flavor. I would definitely buy again.

Versatile, Great Texture, Great Flavor particularly with added Butler Chik-Style Seasoning
These were a game changer to my vegan pantry. Simply rehydrate the soy curls according to the package instructions, coat them in Butler Chik-Style Seasoning, and pan sear them in a little oil. You get delicious, chewy, meaty strips. It doesn't get easier, but it can get so much better than the basics! I've sauteed them in a little toasted sesame oil and ginger and added them to Asian spiced noodle dishes; made chikun and broccoli in garlic sauce; made chikun pot pies; made chikun noodle soup; and also beer batter dipped the rehydrated soy curls and then spooned clusters into frying oil until golden brown before dousing them in hot buffalo wing sauce (see photo above). Buffalo-style was amazing! They are inexpensive compared to other veg/vegan meat analogues and require no refrigeration prior to preparation. I keep several bags in my pantry at all times along with a container of the chik-style seasoning! One bag will serve up about 4-6 meals for two of us.

Mmmmmm!!!
These are hard to find anywhere else and we absolutely LOVE them!! Great for a vegetarian or vegan diet. Soak them in warm broth (cold broth doesn't work as well) for about 15-20 minutes, give them a bit of a squeeze to wring out some of the excess fluid and use just like you'd use chicken strips. You can pan fry them, bread and deep fry them, bake them in sauce, stir-fry them, etc. We use Better Than Bouillon No Chicken base in hot water to soak them. They're not chicken, but they're a pretty dang good substitute if you can eat soy but don't like the texture of tofu. The texture of these when dry is hard like a stale Cheeto and they actually smell like cooked chicken, though I wouldn't snack on them dry. When soaked, the texture is more sponge-like. Do yourself a favor and look up the recipe for KFC Popcorn Chicken Soy Curls. It's rather naughty (deep fried!!) but holy moly they're good! We like them that way and also pan fried with teriyaki sauce, lemon garlic sauce, etc. Use a bit of oil to pan fry them and keep scraping them off the bottom of the pan. They actually brown and get kind of crispy on the edges if you do it right. I accidentally burned a few pieces once while frying them and even that didn't affect how good they are. Highly recommended!

It's fake meat
Made a rice and veggies dish, used the chic seasoning to try to give the curls the right flavor. This product isn't fooling anyone. It tastes like vegetarian protein, if you've eaten fake meat you know what I mean. The texture is firm and spongy. It holds together decently, and can be used for many things. I didn't know it needed to be kept in the fridge or freezer, till I read a recipe online. It comes all together in a bag and being dry, I thought it kept like beans or flour. Luckily it's been winter so it's been kept in cooler conditions. I would say, good if you are expecting that fake meat flavor and texture.

Great protein meat substitute
We are plant based and the soy curls are versatile, quick and easy-to-use. I use the vegan chicken seasoning and that gives thisa nice flavor.
