The Sainlogic WS0835 appears to be a very good quality product, easy to set up with a clear, readable console. Yes, getting the sensor to orient north-south correctly takes a bit of care but isn’t a big problem. Once everything was set up, the console connected to the sensor quickly and that was that.Connecting the console to the wi-fi was difficult, as many people have said. Before you do, however, go to Wunderground and WeatherCloud, create accounts and note down those device IDs and Keys. You will need them when you connect the console to the wi-fi.As specified in the instructions, press MIN/MAX/- for three seconds so the console enters WAP (wireless access point). To connect to that WAP, from your pc/phone create a connection and specify SSID=”weatherhome-nnnn” (“nnnn” being a number specific to your console), MODE=”access point”, BAND=”2.4 GHz”, CHANNEL=”1”.When you fill in the form, don’t forget to check boxes to “upload”. After completing the console form and saving, the console will automatically start uploading data to the two sites. You won’t have to do anything more.Because of several mistakes, I had to “factory reset” my console. There is no official way to do that. If you have to, the following worked for me, use at your own risk:1. Remove the power from the console by removing the batteries and disconnecting the AC adapter.2. While holding both the CHANNEL/+ and MIN/MAX/- buttons, apply power by connecting the AC adapter (or plug in batteries).3. Keep holding both buttons until the console power up sequence is complete (about 5 seconds).4. Refer to the User Manual to restore all your settings and connect to the sensor.Hope these notes help.

There is plenty for us to like about our Sainlogic weather station. First, it was easy to set up! Second, it has a beautiful display that is simple to understand, not to busy and covers everything we need to know. Lastly and most importantly, is their customer service! When we first got the weather station the rain fall amount was slightly less than our manual gauge (maybe the manual gauge was off). Whatever, after contacting customer service they sent us easy to follow directions on how to calibrate our weather station. We have had our weather station for 3 years and have not seen one we would like as well as this one! Thank you Sainlogic!

Product seems to be good quality. Easy set-up. Checks accurate with NWS local broadcast.Having issues with the Wifi set-up but I'm old and not to tech savvy. You'll need access to a 16 year old to do this.

The weather station is a one-piece wonder. No pesky assembly to do, no "hop-scotching" from the main component to an intermediary piece. Instructions were clear-ish, but could have had bullet points for the most important things (How to keep display always on, etc.) Only drawbacks were the custom support pipe. I was replacing my old weather station that was on a round pipe, and it was not as simple as all that. But, they provided pieces for a "round pipe" install, so it's up and running! "Large" display is 4"x5"... :\

This weather station is really great. The setup is easy. The instructions were easy to follow. The man console is bright and full of information. You can see current wind speeds, average wind speeds, temperature, humidity, precipitation and more. The out unit is very well built and looks great in your backyard. It is easy to install. It is easy to sync with two different websites. This unit works exceptionally well and seems to be very accurate. I am really happy with the results of this weather station.

It is impossible to keep track of rainfall totals. It reverts back to zero right away and does not show history. We would not purchase this brand again. Missed return window. Disappointed.

I like the station over all. It was very tricky to get it to connect correctly with my Netgear Nighthawk Router; I had to assign it a static IP address and took a couple of hours to figure out. The app for the phone is crappy but I dont know if that is my network or the app. It also seems to be more partial to Weather Underground than it is for Weather Cloud. It turns out I like Weather Cloud better and I don't use the app.

I had to replace an older weather station model that was not supported anymore. I chose this because of the display and am glad that I did. The outside weather station is very easy to set up and connect, the display is bright and easy to read. The only thing I would add is to have an option to turn the brightness off (not just down) because at night it lights up my whole kitchen. Excellent product, I would purchase again.
