I needed to hook a monitor with HDMI ports to a PC with an open Display port. I don't like using add on adapters if I can avoid them because they make the connections longer and just adds another point to degrade the video. This work great for this application. Seems solidly built. No signal issues.

Quality, normal thickness of wire, works great, very durable, and looks are up to par. With the length I would recommend getting additional due to the being able to use in different locations that might have a longer distance.

The Monitor I got didn’t have a Direct Port. This Direct Port to HDMI did give me a better Picture than an HDMI to HDMI. I am happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

Amazon allowed me to return this when it appeared that it did not work. It does, but I didn't find this out until going through step by step with a support person for a refurbished computer. I still do not know why the monitor was not getting a video signal, but it is functioning now.
