AB Tools 230v Mains 16A Flush Inlet Socket Black Caravan Motorhome Trailer Hook Up

This was bought to replace a cheaper version of virtually the same design. It’s much more solidly built. It has a foam neoprene gasket and fits the gentle body curve of my camper-van without distortion or gaps. The cover is sprung so that it doesn’t flap about whilst on the road if one neglects to close it properly. Note that the cut-out dimensions required are 80mm wide and 90mm high with curved corners. A 95 mm circular cutout would be fine.

Ordered Friday afternoon and received on Saturday morning. Seems very very well made and sturdy. Bought as a replacement as the cover had broken off my old one and this fitted perfectly. The only slight problem is that the hole for the cable to feed in through is on the bottom therefore if you are replacing you will either need access to the inside panel of your van (can be difficult if it's already kitted out inside) or to drill another hole in the back of the unit which is what I did. This is through no fault of the seller though so 5* thumbs up!

First of all, it does the job... But it could be better. My main concern is the flap doesn't really click into place and considering this is on the outside of the van, it could easily be blown open whilst travelling.
