Amazing for stress
Amazing for stress. As others mentioned, the first time you open it, the putty may be adhering to both the top and bottom of the container, so just pull them apart slowly, then start pulling the putty out and consolidating it into one piece. You can scrape it off the tin with your fingernail and then squish it onto a part that is still stuck and gradually you'll get it all. You only have to do that once. As long as you always put it away in the lower part of the can, smush it down a bit, then put the lid on, if you keep the container horizontal it will be easy to open.

Awesome for Autistic Adults
Autism Usage:I was finally diagnosed with autism at age 30, and looked for stim toys that were just like the ones that I always played with as a kid, especially squishy things. I love that it's spacey black with glittering stars, and handling it helps to keep me calm and keep my hands busy.UV Light:The itty bitty UV flashlight that comes with it can only shine on a tiny bit of surface area at a time, so it's impossible to get the whole lump of putty to glow all at once. Also, you have to hold down the button for the light to stay on, which gets tiring for your hand. I purchased a larger UV flashlight separately, and now making the putty glow is much more enjoyable.Tin:Be careful how you store the tin. If it gets turned sideways or upside down, the putty will get into the crevices of the tin and seal the lid shut. After not using the putty for a few months, I had to pry the tin open with a screwdriver which is why my tin now looks dented.Longevity:I've had this putty for a year now, and it's still just as pliable and glowy as it was when I first purchased it.Conclusion:Overall, I'm quite pleased. This autistic adult is a very happy camper.

Glow in the Dark is a stretch
The putty is great as Aaron’s always is but the blue light provided to create the glow is a stretch of the imagination.

DON'T listen to the bad reviews!!!
This stuff is great! Let me tell you about my experience with it.The product comes in a regular plastic amazon sack. The can is packaged in a cardboard "display package" that you might see at the store. Upon trying to open the can, the lid was stuck on the can (which has been my experience with this product in the past because the putty shifts during shipping, this is completely normal) but all I had to do was pull the lid up a little, then spin the can around a little, and pull the lid up a little more. Just repeat that process until the lid comes off. It did not take much effort for me to get the lid off using this method. After pulling the lid all the way off, it is clear the putty has shifted around during shipping (see pictures). It seems a lot of folks get to this step and think the putty is "dried out" or "ruined" but it's NOT!! This is perfectly normal!Next, just start pulling up the putty with you fingers; I use my finger nails and don't have any issues with the putty sticking under my nails or getting them dirty (I keep my nails short). At some point the putty will release it's grip from the can it you can easily pull it out in a big chunk. I then roll it up in a ball and stick it to the can to collect any putty residue left in the can, much like you would do to collect little bits of playdoh. Repeat this process to get the putty out of the lid as well. Make sure to collect any putty residue from around the outside upper part of the tin can to ensure easy opening and closing of the can in the future. Now, the little flashlight that comes with this product is in a little plastic baggy that is packaged in the can as well. As you can imagine it is also covered in putty by the time you get to it. Getting the putty off the plastic bag is a little more difficult because the putty adheres to the plastic bag more than it adheres to the tin can. Rolling the putty in a ball and using it to try to collect putty residue off the bag doesn't work, so there are a couple of options. 1. (This is the option I chose) Use your finger nails to get the putty off of the bag. Again I didnt have any issues with the putty sticking under my nails and I was able to get most of the putty off the bag. Option 2. Throw the baggy away with the putty still on it as it is not that much and won't make much difference to the overall volume. Now you can play with you putty!Make sure to store the can in a level position to prevent shifting of the putty during storage. The little flash light can be stored in the can as well, but it will sink a bit into the putty and can be difficult to get out at first. Please DO NOT listen to these biscuit heads who claim their putty is "ruined" and they are "disappointed with the company." They clearly aren't experts in opening a can of putty!

Good stuff.
Just as good if not better than the brand name and a generous quantity.

Awesome for stress
I'm an adult and use this as stress relief and to excercise my grip. It isn't messy and doesn't stick to your hands. It has a pleasant feel. I'd recommend going for a variety that doesn't have "stuff" in it, but that's just me.
