It works
I had this tied to my belt with the lanyard loop. I was separated from my PWC and was able to summom help. This was the only communication device on me at the time. Very happy with the product.Make sure you read the manual. It's a very simple device, but you wouldn't want to make a mistake in an emergency.

Haven't had to use it yet...
I do a lot of solo hiking and having a PLB in my pack is just good, common sense! I love that it has a test mode so I know that it works, and in the event I DO need to use it, this model has a reply mode that lets you know your distress signal was received.
