Makes excellent extract
I use these with spiced rum to make vanilla extract. It’s so much better than store bought and makes a great gift.

Small beans but good quality
They're a little bit smaller than I expected, but they still taste nice. I've been able to make quite a bit of vanilla custard, vanilla vodka and vanilla extract with them.

Great value and waiting to see the quality
Have not opened it yet, still have some Madagascar vanilla I made with the clear rum. But the product looks good visually and I'm going to use either vodka or the 190 proof Ever Clear grain alcohol for the soaking. The purchase value wise I'm getting almost at the twice of weight compareing to the Madagascar vanilla products. Will have to wait on the quality reviews since I will not be opening it for a while.

Smells & tastes wonderful!!!
Zero regrets purchase!!!The recipe I have for homemade vanilla extract says to use grade B beans, but not to chop/grind them. The beans are tiiiiiiny, and when I tried scraping them out I was dropping alot of them. Truth be told, I am not a very patient person with small items, so I slit the pod lengthwise, scraped what I could directly into the bottle I was transferring them to, then cut the remaining pods into 2" pieces and dropped them into the same bottle. The recipe says to shake daily for a month, but the vanilla smell the day I started it was already wonderful! I still have not made it to a month, but I have already used it in recipes (baked and non-baked) and the difference is quite notable, in a positive way. An elderly family member that lives to bake has asked for a bottle, too, because of the freshness and quality of taste!I used the beans in a 10oz bottle of bottom shelf V to make the extract, which put my cost around $39 for the whole bottle. I initially thought that a little expensive, but that works out to around $3.90/oz, which is competitive to major brands in our area. I think I could have split the beans between two 10oz bottles and still had a quality extract, but I am quite pleased with the results and price per oz of the 10oz bottle.
