Very low dust, low tracking, low odor
I have tried a lot and I mean a LOT of non-clay cat litters. Pretty much anything that can be made into litter, I've tried it at least once. I have a favorite litter but the company went out of business years ago. Since its not likely to ever come back, this is now my top choice for litter. My previous top choice, Okocat, hit all the marks but the quality of it changed so the amount of dust and tracking became untenable. After a lot (a LOT) of searching, I came across this and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did!First off, though this is pellets, it's not large pellets like other brands. That makes it acceptable to our cats who hate the larger pellets. It takes a little more effort to shake the unused litter through the scoop, but not that much more than other litters. I recommend a scoop with larger holes. And because it's pellets that are larger than other litter particles, it cuts way down on tracking. I have to sweep around the litter box every other day and once in a while I'll find a pellet tracked into the living room but it's a far cry from my socks picking up sawdust all over the house or thick layers of pine or walnut dust covering everything near the litterboxes. The pellets can get crushed or break apart but any dust as a result is so minimal I have yet to notice after a year of using this litter. Our calico has allergies and this litter doesn't aggravate her sinuses at all, unlike dustier litters we've tried. It clumps urine VERY well. There is some breaking apart that happens but no more than other litters I've tried. It doesn't clump to feces as well but it does desiccate them enough that I don't have a big mess when the Manx decides to eat something she's not supposed to and then has...unfortunate bowel issues as a result. The litter is unscented so there's not much of a smell. When it's first opened, it has a smell that sometimes is like sweetened condensed milk, sometimes like vanilla, it's always a bit different depending on the batch, I assume. It's never unpleasant. It also keeps the cat box smell away to the point we never smell urine and only poo if the Manx has had a particularly smelly session. Once it's covered, the smell dissipates quickly. That being said, there CAN be a smell akin to old cabbage. However, that's only happened if the litter didn't get scooped in a timely manner, I got lazy and the Litter Genie got overfull, or it was a past time to change the litter and clean the boxes. And that is the only thing I would caution when it comes to whether you choose this litter. If you can't scoop every day, if you don't have a Litter Genie or disposable bags you can take out every time you scoop, then this is not the litter for you because you will have that smell of old cabbage or fermenting cruciferous vegetables. We have three high-sided jumbo litter boxes, open top, not enclosed. Two boxes get one and a half bags of litter, the third gets two bags. I scoop each box every evening, takes less than five minutes. The waste goes into a Litter Genie that I usually remember to empty weekly. Once a month I empty out the litter and scrub the boxes, then replace with fresh litter. And we have no cat smell in the house. I am perpetually paranoid that there's a smell thanks to previous experiences with other litters but so far there's been no complaints. One of our neighbors even said "I don't mean to offend you, but why does your house not smell like cats?" so I consider that a good indication that this litter and our setup is working. My one complaint is that the urine clump can stick a bit to the bottom of the box, but it comes up easily with a quick scrape and always comes off when I do the monthly box scrub. And really, I had that same issue with other litters, especially clay, so it's barely an issue. I have not had any issues with the litter turning to sludge, though I can see how that could happen if the box wasn't scooped regularly.

Odor-free, dust-free, stays clean longer. I’m a happy camper!
I know everyone says this but, I usually don’t write reviews lol. I’ve been using this litter for over a year and I’m never switching back! I’ve used the arm and hammer, typical clay litter for YEARS, but when my cat started having coughing fits, I switched to this litter because I suspected it was asthma and this litter claims to be dust-free. From the get-go, I was extremely impressed. There really isn’t any dust! It was a HUGE difference from clay litter. I was so tired of getting a nasty dust cloud of poopy clay air in my face every time I scooped, but with this litter that doesn’t happen at all! The question I’m sure everyone is asking is, ‘Does it help with the ODOR?!’ And the answer is ABSOLUTELY!!! Even though I recognize that as a cat owner, I had gone nose blind for years, I was still able to smell the cat box VERY QUICKLY when it started to get dirty with the old litter. Not only that, but just the smell of the clay and the dust it created was transferring onto any items in the room and just making everything have a layer of clay dust and STINK! Since changing to this litter, I don’t smell the catboxes like AT ALL! Even when it’s getting close to the time it’s supposed to be completed dumped and washed out. I’ve even asked others without cats if they smell any cat litter and they say they don’t (and these are people who would often complain of the smell when I was using clay litter)! There is no dust, almost NO odor, and less tracking outside the box too! I’m so happy I switched to this litter, and while it is a bit pricier for the amount you get, it also doesn’t get dirty as fast as traditional clay litter because it has larger granules and instead of soaking up the pee, the pee dissolves the granules and they harden up quickly into solid chunks, so the dirty clumps don’t break and crumble and mix with the rest of the litter like it does with clay! So even though you pay more for the bag, I would argue that the litter stays clean for longer so you don’t end up needing to buy it as often! One note that I will say, is that when they go #2, it does smell a bit stronger than it would with clay litter for the first few minutes, just because these granules don’t quite cover the poop like clay/sand would. But it doesn’t last long, and to me it’s 100% worth it. As long as you’re not just sitting directly in front of the cat box twiddling your thumbs, you likely won’t even notice most of the time lol. Anyways, that was a super long review, but I had to show my love for this product!

Best litter yet!!
My cat is 11 years old and before him i have owned cats half my life. I have been through the run of the gamut of various litters through the years. This is our new favorite litter! All the reviews I read are correct! This litter does not stink, it does have a little track to it but that's okay! It's far less than the clay litters. My cat absolutely loves it! Before, with the clay litter he did not like to go completely into his box and poop and pee in the back of the box, I guess because of the smell or because he's bougie lol. Now he is using his entire box!My cat's litter box is located near my desk and our balcony door in my tiny apartment. Before with the clay litter, you could smell his poop all the way in my bedroom. With the tofu litter I can barely smell it when I'm sitting at my desk, so amazing! This litter is easy to clean, it's easy to scoop and because it is biodegradable you can flush it down the toilet. Which lightens our footprint because that's less plastic bags that we have to utilize to discard of my cat's waste. I can't speak to the longevity just yet because we just started using the litter this week, but this gets five stars and is now the new staple for the litter box!!
