It didn’t want to snap in at first but a little force it popped right in and started my laptop

Excellent replacement battery for my 2179. Easy to install and the battery works like brand new. Came with 63% and didn't take long to charge. Now I am going through the celebration process. My battery monitor says my battery health is at 100% and it is currently reading 82% and states I have 10.2 hours left of charge. I have already been on it for 2 hours and sleep time of 8 hours. I ma more than happy with the replacement. I have tried three other battery replacements that were terrible, different companies. If you are on the fence, try this one, I am well pleased.

My friend's Macbook Air was showing that the battery would not charge past 1%, and the computer would die when unplugged from power. Used this kit and was able to completely solve the issue in less than an hour total. I would highly recommend checking out the iFixit Guide for a more thorough tutorial.

Installation was sort of what I expected. It ended up being a little more involved, in that pulling off the adhesive strips from the speakers was harder than expected when one broke off. I had to use a hair dryer to heat it up to pry it off. The photos also indicated some instructions were provided but there were no instructions. I was lucky to find some on line. It also would have been nice to get a few more adhesive strips provided. You get 6. That's exactly what you need for the batteries themselves. I didn't know the batteries required them, I thought they were to replace the speaker adhesives. I ended up using 4 for the batteries so I would have one left for each speaker. Sadly, having never done this, I screwed up one adhesive. My point is, they give you 6 adhesives, how much more would the product cost if they gave you 10 adhesives? This would provide enough for batteries and speakers with 2 extra in case something happened when applying them. The battery fit and seems to work okay so I'm pleased with that. The cost savings was significant compared to having Apple do it.

Easy replacement for my 2017 Macbook Pro. Required minimal tools. about 20 min total to complete. I had purchased this same battery in 2022, so good overall life and WAY cheaper than Apple. Perfect replacement for keeping my traveling computer healthy. Highly recommended.

I have installed an aftermarket battery in my other Macbook a few years ago from another manufacturer and am very happy with it. I could not find a battery for my new laptop from the same manufacturer so I figured I would try this one. I am beyond disappointed. I should have returned it as soon as I opened the box. It looked like a very cheap attempt to duplicate what it should look like. There were zero instructions. I just youtubed them but the quality of the battery looked very poor. But I had it so I installed it.Right away the first 2 charge cycles it did not last any longer than my 5 year old OEM battery. After the computer relearned the new battery it seemed to be on track to be a good battery. But then while I was working on it and it was clearly around 25%, it completely died. Plugged it in and it was at 0%. Let it charge back up and it seemed to be fine again and lasting a long time, right up until it died in the mid 20% range again. That was all I needed. I looked further and was able to find a batt from the manufacturer that I have been happy with in the past and the first thing I did on the computer when I installed the second new battery was to process the return for this one, and then wrote this review.If it looks like a turd its probably going to be one, I should have known better, but I figured I'd try it. What I got for my trust was having to redo the job twice.No thanks, returning it. Do not buy this one. Plenty of other ones out there, and apparently they are NOT all the same.

So far it works perfectly and everything you need is there. The screwdrivers being magnetic (which they are) is NEEDED. The screws are way too small to place yourself. I'm taking the internal screws. The ones holding the shell are massive by comparison. Would buy again if needed.

Kit was awesome. Watched a Youtube video, and had it swapped out in about a half hour! Fit perfectly.
