Perfect mirror hanger
I have had this standing mirror for a long time and was picking out every reason to get rid of it. Until I realised, it would surely be better if I could get this hung up, helping me see better and making my room look more spacious. I went on the search for hanging solutions and in a short time came across this French cleat design. The final results were exactly what I wanted! The French cleats sold here come at a fair price and helpfully have multiple sizing options. I chose one long enough to distribute the hanging weight from this mirror. These French cleats come in a solid metal design an extremely easy and discreet mounting option. This proved easier than fitting shelves. I drew a straight line, with both pieces gripping onto each other, to estimate the height to where it would fit best on the wall. I drew a line and got ready to mount. Although there were no provided instructions, the pictures here on the listing was enough to know which side fits on the wall and which sides fit on the back of the mirror. As shown on the listing, the cleat design uses an intuitive, clever system in which the two pieces lock into each other to hold weight. I marked the holes, drilled and screwed in. As you may expect, the provided wall plugs were an absolute pass - it is far better to use a better quality set of wall plugs, easily found here for a few more pounds. The results are super tidy. Finally, I have a tall mirror tucked against the wall where I no longer need to crouch to see myself. The mirror has gained height and looks a lot tidier and classier in the room than when leaned against the wall. It's an upgrade anyone could do - well worth it!

Screws the wrong size
Mine didn't come with instructions so I just followed a guide on YouTube. The smaller screws provided (the ones that went into my heavy mirror) aren't suitable for the bracket because the heads fit through the holes. I found some shorter, stubbier screws for that purpose and they work perfectly. Seems solid as a rock but I will of course change my review if it falls off the wall!

Strong level mount
Easy to install. There are about 5 mm of vertical play with each of the screw holes. This helps when even though you line up the holes you may not drill at the correct angle or material difference may cause the screws/wall plug holes to be a little off plan. I installed the piece to the wall with the mounts as level as possible but leaving a little high friction wiggle room after first install as I re-positioned the heavy mirror and leveled it again so themounts would position relative to the holes. I gently removed the mirror to keep both mounts from changing position and tightened everything to keep the level position.

Great for heavy items
Great hanging bracket. I used it to hang a large heavy mirror. One screw into a wooden stud and four into plasterboard. Absolutely solid.

Good quality
Bought these to hang a headboard on the wall. Very easy to fit and they do not make any noise being metal on metal, very sturdy. Very happy with this purchase and I would definitely recommend them

Great job, but know what you're doing.
Ideal for hanging a large (mine is 1.5m tall x 0.750 wide) canvas painting with no "frame". Measure very carefully before drilling any holes - you will have to keep taking the painting down to make any adjustments, and these will have to be small. Once up the painting is held very securely. because of the length of mine, I used 2 sets of hangers - 1 at the top (to hold in place) and 1 at the bottom (taking the weight). Result - painting held securely with no obvious signs of support.
